Hello! and welcome to Not A Critic.com.
My name is ken, and I'm a just a regular person! I'm not a journalist, I don't have a PhD in movie critic, and I'm not a theater scholar. I'm starting Not A Critic.com movie Reviews because I'm sick of hearing movie critics talking about how a movie compares to Shakespeare, if its going to win oscars, how much artistic talent the cast has, or directing blah blah blah.
I don't think most normal people care about all that! We go to or rent a movie to have a good time, and forget about life for a while. We just want to know if the movie was any good and worth our 8$ - 10$ at the theater, the 3$ rental, or 20$ to buy the DVD! And that's what Not A Critic.com will tell you.
Did I think it was a good movie? Would you want to see it again? Was it funny? Was it scary? Was it exciting? Is it worth buying or Renting? That's what I will tell you in my reviews. My reviews will also be shorter than others. Short and Sweat! I'm not going to give you a scene by scene breakdown, I'm not going to make you read a book. But they will let you know if what I'm reviewing is worth your time!
I will also try to keep Not A Critic.com on the lite site. Try to be funny, and make fun of some things when i can.
We are new, just getting up and running. We wont have the best selection of past movies, or get every review up by the time the movie is released. So I'm going to ask that you give us some slack for a while. Book mark us, pass us along to people you know, add a link to your sites and your blog's. If you help us grow ( get a better listing in Goggle, get some advertising $$) we can become the nets best movie review site!
