Pan's Labyrinth
Pan's Labyrinth is Set in 1940s Spain as a representation of the repression of Franco's Spain where a girl escapes into a land of fairy tales.
The first sentence should be enough to tell you the movie is not going to be anything like the previews showed us.
The previews lead you to think it is going to be something like The Chronicles of Narnia, and some of the charters are, but unlike Narnia....
This movie is
- In spanish
- Has subtitles
- Boring
- Uninteresting
There is also allot of war like violence in this movie. I thought Narnia was kind of pushing the violence envelope for being a kids movie, but this movie goes past it. I don't care about the R rating the movie has, it was marketed to kinds. Unless you like your kids seeing people get shot in the face, either don't let them watch it, or fast forward through the non fairy tale stuff.
In fact that's how I recommend watching this movie to anyone who is not a foreign film buff.
