Transformers

The Review:

So, everyone should know the basic story... Autobots wage their battle
to destroy the evil forces of the Decepticons.

This battle brings them to Earth in search of the thing that first gave life to their world. If the Decepticons find it first, they will use it to turn all of Earth's technology into more evil worriers.

The movie starts out with allot of background on the main human star with some glimpses of Bumble Bee. You also see the Decepticons first attacks. Besides these attacks, It takes a while to see any transforming or Optimus Prime, But its done well and you don't mind.

Of course the Military gets involved in fighting the Decepticons - not knowing what they are yet - and following the Autobots and their human friends.

There is plenty of action. Both with and without Autobots. The story is good. They explain how the Transformers look like our modern vehicles. The movie is plenty long and exciting. they even mix in some comedy. Even the girls in the theater seemed to enjoy the movie very much.

The robots look great!, but they are in motion so much, you don't get really god looks at them. I can't wait until the DVO so I can watch them in slow motion. Of course I wish they would look a little more like the original TV robots, but that's just a minor nit pick.

I also wish their was more dialog from the robots. One of the main robots can not talk much, for some unknown reason (unknown why they chose to make him like that, not unknown in the movie). But he seems to communicate with his eyes very well. There is one time you look at him and you can defiantly get the feeling of sadness from him.

Of course they set it up so there can be a second movie.........

AS I said in my preview, if you grew up on the cartoon, you have to set aside some of what you remember about the robots because they just can't copy the cartoon. They need to be original about some of the stuff. Although I wish some stuff would have stayed more the same.

This is definitely a must see for pretty much everyone.
